It’s 2023 and I am back with another first draft publishing of my thought process. After working on frontend for the past 7 years, I am reaching another tipping point of another transition.

Learned a few things along the way:

  • Learned I enjoyed frontend for 0 to 1 products, but not 1 to 100.
  • Learned I want to do more than frontend, and miss Figma write access
  • Learned I enjoy leading people and dealing with some people problems
  • Learned I want to build great products and dgaf about process
  • Learned how quickly AI will take my job.
  • Learned I want to be a founder sooner than later
  • Learned I don’t have a broad enough skillset to be a technical founder

Knowing what you know is knowledge, but knowing what you don’t know is wisdom.

I must admit that I don’t have some skills I wish I had. The first step is learning them. Later things will follow.

Things I’m looking into:

Getting comfortable building apps end to end

  • NodeJs and Golang
  • Next.js
  • AWS certification or some DevOps knowledge
  • Leveraging AI to speed up ^ and day-to-day work
  • Talking to more founders and rethinking my mindset

Will post more in bursts of clarity. Thanks for reading.
